1997 Designed the Flexi-coil 8000 Toolbar and was Project Manager for the 8000 Planter/Drill that won an ASAE AE 50 award for outstanding innovation.
1990 Designed the Flexi-coil S-Tine Multi-bar unit, winner of an ASAE AE 50 award for outstanding innovation.
1988 Design engineer for the Flexi-coil 1100 air seeder. The 1100 air seeder won the ABEX award for best new product in Saskatchewan business.

Hundeby Consulting Ltd. - Consulting Engineer 2000 - Present
Consulting and forensic engineering services in the technical field of agricultural and mechanical engineering. Addressing issues including all aspects of the design, fabrication, production and operation of machinery including agricultural machines and specialized seed, fertilizer and pesticide application equipment. Additional fields of analysis involve agricultural operations and agronomics, including environment and safety aspects of the application of fertilizers and pesticides. Specializing in designing farm machinery for distribution into a global market. Researching design criteria and engineering standards for the design of agricultural equipment to be sold in the USA, Canada, Australia and Europe. Designed farm machines and helped assess mechanical failures for companies in Sweden and France. Obtained a number of patents pending on farm machinery, some of which were designed, prototyped and tested on the R&D farm at Saskatoon.

Flexi-coil Ltd. - R&D Project Manager for European Product 1999 - 2000
Development of product design criteria for farm machines manufactured for sale into the Western European market. Assembled information on CE safety certification and road traffic homologation for application in designing European farm machine. Studied farming practices in a number of European countries both to learn about the European agronomy and farm machinery, and to follow test machines in Europe. Attended farm machinery shows in France, Germany, Sweden and the UK to study farm equipment design in Europe. Involved with the ASAE international standardization committee. Member of the Canadian Expert Committee on Engineering for Crops

Flexi-coil Ltd. - R&D Project Manager for Row Crop Product 1991 - 1998
Manage engineering and R&D staff in the development of product for row-crop areas, focusing on the North American market with additional attention given to global markets. Project manager for the initial adaptation of the Flexi-coil air delivery technology into the row-crop areas of Midwest USA. Worked closely with farmers in the row-crop areas of the USA and Canada to develop design criteria and then do follow-up on test machines. Project Manager for the 8000 Planter/Drill (ASAE AE 50 award winner) and for the 9000 Planting System (ASAE AE 50 award winner). This included the development of the first system in the world capable of nursing corn seed to the row units on 40' and 60' precision planters. Involved in the design of pesticide application equipment. Project manager for the development of various tillage tools and attachments. Involved in patent litigations as an expert witness and helping with preparation and trial support. Responsible for addressing corrosion issues on Flexi-coil products. Visited various farms and machine displays in Europe to study row-crop machinery and potential application of row-crop equipment in that area. Actively involved in various ASAE standards committees.

Flexi-coil Ltd. - R&D Project Engineer 1983 - 1990
Innovator in the area of new farm equipment, always desiring to meet or exceed current product safety design standards. Design engineer for numerous farm machines including the S-Tine Multi-bar unit (ASAE AE 50 award winner). Designed the Flexi-coil model 1100 air seeder (ABEX award winner), the first of a series of air seeders that led Flexi-coil to become the global leader in air seeder technology. Designed various tillage machines and attachments including chisel plows and cultivators as well as trip mechanisms (350 to 750 pounds trip force), most of which are sold on current Flexi-coil products. Designed soil preparation machines including packing systems, harrows, rock-handling equipment, and a pull-type grader complete with lift/angle/tilt functions. As a result of an earlier farm accident, designed a series of grain augers with a special emphasis on operator safety, eliminating the safety hazard of the external drive shaft and chains toward the discharge end. Invented the "Water Cannon" which was a machine used for pumping out small sloughs and potholes, at the same time irrigating the adjacent land with the water. Involved in the development of pesticide application equipment. Member of various ASAE standards committees.

Johnson Manufacturing Ltd. - Design Engineer 1982 - 1983
Designed truck hoists for a truck box and truck hoist manufacturer.

Friggstad Manufacturing Ltd. - R&D Project Engineer 1977 - 1982
Worked on various design projects including the 300 Series chisel plows in working widths from 22' to 80' and the 650 pound trip mechanism for the chisel plows. Designed a hydraulic-fold coil packer drawbar and was part of the design team for the "Pneumatic Applicator" air seeder. The 300 Series chisel plows in combination with the "Pneumatic Applicator" and hydraulic-fold packer drawbar were some of the first air seeders developed for sale in North America.

Shell Canada Ltd. - Facilities Engineer 1972 - 1973
Design and installation of crude oil processing facility to remove natural gas and water from crude oil containing high levels of hydrogen sulfide.

Hundeby Farms - Design Engineer and Owner/Operator 1973 - Present
Involved with the design and installation of a multi-pivot irrigation system. Designed and built numerous machines for the farm including truck sprayers, mechanical markers for high-speed truck sprayers, combine chaff spreaders and numerous other machines and attachments. In 1978, invented a tandem swather hitch for pulling two swathers behind one tractor. This machine was patented and commercially produced and marketed by Macdon Industries. Currently farm 800 acres and help advise brothers on farm machinery requirements for their 15,000 acre farm operations.

Assisting engineering staff at the oil refinery and updating documentation regarding piping layouts and process flow.
